Barracuda Families,

It’s hard to believe, but swim season is right around the corner! We are thrilled to welcome back Coach Andrew, who is hard at work putting together our team of support coaches. Please read below for important pre-season updates:

• Registration: Registration will run March 26 to April 26, 2026. There will be no registration allowed after April 26, 2026 to ensure that our coaches have time to prepare for the season with a finalized roster.
  • While the Barracudas did not increase registration fees for 2026, the ASA League Fee increased by $8/swimmer. You will see that $8 increase reflected in our updated registration fees, which can be found HERE.
  • ASA fees increase by $20 if you register between April 15 and April 25, 2026.
  • Registration fees include: mandatory ASA league fees, a Barracuda team shirt, a Barracuda swim cap, and the Barracuda Banquet (pasta dinner, awards, and cupcakes) at the end of the season
  • Legacy Swimmers: The “legacy rule” allows select Barracuda alumni swimmers who are members of SCC to remain on the BWBC Barracudas. The qualifications are: SCC pool members who are 11 years of age or older on May 31st, 2026, AND have at least 4 years of history swimming with the Barracudas. If one swimmer in your family meets these qualifications, siblings are also allowed to join, allowing your family to be part of one swim team.

• Important Volunteer Update: Swim team is not a side line sport! We need dozens of volunteers to ensure we can safely and efficiently run meets. An expectation of being on the swim team is that every family volunteers for at least two shifts during the season. This year, when you register, you will be asked to sign this volunteer agreement. Families who do not fulfill this volunteer requirement will be invoiced $75 at the end of the season. Invoices must be paid in order to register your child for future Barracuda swim seasons.

• Open House: This year's Open House will be Sunday, March 29, 2026. This is a great time to meet our coaches, purchase team suits, and learn the ins and outs of being part of the Barracudas. Please see the schedule below:
  • 4 - 4:45pm: New Family Orientation
  • 4:45 - 6pm: Volunteer Meeting and Open House for ALL families

• Used Suit Donations: Do you have old competitive racing suits that no longer fit your swimmer? Consider donating them to other Barracuda families! Drop off donations on the Snow’s front porch (1712 Alderbrook Rd) by Wednesday, March 23rd. We will organize the donations by size and have them available for families at Open House!
