    Barracuda Beat: Meet #2 BWBC Barracudas at Leafmore Dolphins

    Dear Barracuda Families,

    Great news – swim team photos are IN! Please pick them up during practice this week -- they are filed in the ribbon bin!

    Tomorrow is our second meet of the season! We are hoping for clear skies and a fun and exciting night of swimming!

    • Upcoming Meet: Barracudas @ Leafmore Creek on Tuesday, 6/2/26
    • Address: Leafmore Creek Park Inc, 1373 Altamont Dr, Decatur, GA 30033
      • Arrival Time: 5:00pm
      • Optional Barracuda Warm Ups: 5 - 5:20 pm (6&U do not warm up so can arrive at 5:15pm)

        • Parking: Leafmore has a small parking lot, but there is plenty of parking on the surrounding streets. Please only park on one side of the street so that EMS and neighbors can get through. There will be “No Parking” signs posted as a reminder.
        • Seating: Leafmore reserves the grassy area and covered pavilion at the far side of the pool from the front gate for guests. It’s nice and shady over there. Please note that Leafmore pool is pet free. Spectator seating will be along the side of the pool. We ask your swimmers to travel around the diving board area to reach the swimmer line up area and feed into the blocks.
        • Swimmer Events: Please review the attached Heat Sheet and Meet Entry List to see what your swimmer(s) will be racing. Use #5 to help you label your child’s arm before arriving at the pool.
        • Theme: The theme for this meet is superheroes! 
    • Volunteering:
      • Check in at the Volunteer Table near the bullpens. Listen for announcements during the meet if you are a second half volunteer.
      • We are still in need of a few volunteers! If we do not have bullpen volunteers, swimmers will sit with their parents and parents will be responsible for ensuring their swimmers are lined up for their races. Please sign up here.
    • Concessions:
      • Leafmore’s Concessions Coordinator will be grilling burgers, BBQ sandwiches and dogs. We will also have Chick-fil-A, chips, baked goods, fruit, candy, and tons of drinks. Concessions accept CASH and VENMO.
    • Weather: We swim unless there is heavy rain and/or thunder and lightning. Coaches will monitor the weather closely and will always share meet delay/cancellation updates as soon as we have them. No news is good news!
